A couple folks from the Chicago Market Grocery Logistics, Retail and Procurement (GLRP) team visited Tempel Farms Organics in Old Mill Creek, IL this week. Farmers Chris and Tania Cubberly are proud Chicago Market Owners and are growing some terrific organic food and flowers.

These mounds may not look like much, but they are composting horse manure from nearby Tempel Lippizaner Farm - black gold for these organic farmers.

Small local farmers place high value on old farm implements. They meet their needs but are sometimes hard to find.

Tempel grows in the fields and also in three beautiful greenhouses.
