Kasey Eaves, of Vivant Gardening Services, joined us yesterday for an online workshop on growing and harvesting beginner-friendly superfoods known as microgreens. We learned how to supplement our winter diets with a continuous supply of fresh, super fast-growing, and highly nutritious greens from the comfort of our homes!

Bridget Williams, of Bridget's Northwoods Bakery, joined us this week for an online workshop all about decorating holiday cookies. We started with learning how to achieve perfect consistency with our icing, then moved on to flooding techniques and several other tips and tricks to decorate with confidence!

I'm thankful for the local farmers and producers who participated in our Thanksgiving Pop-Up Market. Normally these events are big festive affairs, but we had to do things a little differently this time around. So we worked with our vendors to promote online sales during November, and this past Sunday opened our doors at Chicago Market for a safe, socially-distanced pick up event.

And just like that, the holidays are upon us. For December, our partners have pulled out all the stops and put together some amazing offerings.

Sometimes it’s the very small things that impact you the most and that happened to me recently. 

Charles Dabah, owner of The Levantine Kitchen and a personal chef and caterer, joined us last week for an online cooking class featuring fabulous fall recipes! Charles demonstrated spicy white bean stew and butternut squash fries with pomegranate molasses dipping sauce.
