The entire Chicago Market team extends a huge congratulations to Local Foods, which is celebrating the grand opening of its beautiful new locally focused grocery store tomorrow.
Not familiar with Local Foods?
The company (which is not a co-op, by the way) started as a distributor of locally produced, farm-fresh food to Chicago-area restaurants. With the new store at 1427 W. Willow (right behind The Hideout), regular folks can now grab local produce, meat from The Butcher & Larder, local cheeses, breads, spreads and much more ... year-round.
We couldn't be happier to welcome this player to the local-food scene.
