Please join Chicago Market Owners and Board members at the Music Box Lounge for an informative session on what Chicago Market is, becoming an Owner, and to answer any questions you may have.
Learn how you can become a part of this exciting new place that will change the way you shop for groceries. Owners and Board members will be on hand to answer your questions and tell you more about the Market. And we'll be prepared to sign up new Owners who are ready to buy a stake in this cooperative grocery store.
If you're a small business owner, come learn how becoming a Business Owner of Chicago Market can benefit us both!
Receive an Owners-only Chicago Market tote bag when you join!
Chicago Market isn't just a grocery store. It's a community. And the best part about being part of a community is getting to meet new people and learn about awesome things happening in the city all around you.
That's why Chicago Market is hosting another Mixer at The Butcher's Tap in Lakeview!
Not only can you come learn about the awesome community-owned co-op grocery store coming to Uptown, you can also find out more about some of Chicago Market's close community partners.
The Butcher's Tap will donate two $50 gift cards to be raffled off during the event. Food and beverage specials include $3 tacos, $3 beer, $3 shots of tequila. Stay for bar bingo after the Mixer!
Come on your own or, in the spirit of building community, bring a friend with you. It'll be a fun evening of drinks and food, community-building and learning. Plus, if you want to become an Owner of Chicago Market you'll be able to do so on the spot.
See you there!
Have a question for the Chicago Market Board?
Want to see the Board in action?
Chicago Market Board meetings are open to all Owners!
You just need to let us know you'll be coming (by RSVP'ing below!) and whether you'll be needing comment time. (Owners can speak for up to 5 minutes, and we'll be capping comment time to 30 minutes per Board meeting.)
Please send any questions for the Board in advance to email@example.com.
There is free parking behind Lakeview Pantry in the gravel lot under the train tracks. If you plan on joining us, do consider bringing a donation of canned goods for our generous hosts - canned tuna is a favorite!
One of my favorite parts of Chicago Market is the community that we've all built together. I'm excited to be re-launching the Chicago Market book club!
Based on the discussion on the Chicago Market Facebook page, the next book we'll be reading & exploring is Grocery: The Buying and Selling of Food in America.
We'll be getting together at Osmium Coffee Bar (near the Belmont stop).
As always, all are welcome to attend! For those interested, Dark Matter's Osmium Coffee Bar will have their delicious pastries and drinks available for purchase.
