Vicki Westerhoff, one of Chicago Market's most-supportive farmers (scroll down, that's Farmer Vicki on our homepage), has had a rough summer. 

Heavy rains early this season washed away many of her crops. 

But 10 of Chicago's best chefs are coming together on Aug. 30 for a benefit to raise money for Genesis. Your ticket not only gets you some outstanding food and drink, but you'll be helping an outstanding farm.

All of the participating chefs are Genesis customers. They include organizer Paul Virant of Vie, Perennial Virant and Vistro, along with Paul Fehribach of Big Jones, Mark Mendez of Vera, Patrick Sheerin of Trenchermen, Erling Wu-Bower of Nico Osteria and more. 

Westerhoff, along with her son, daughter and other Genesis staff members will attend the event and will discuss the struggles and successes of being a small farmer.

All money raised goes directly to Genesis Growers.
