Run for the Chicago Market Board of Directors


Running for the Board of Directors is one of the many perks of being a Chicago Market Owner.

And it's the most important thing you can do to have a say in the formation of this food co-op. 

We want YOU to consider putting your name on the ballot.

It's a big commitment, but an essential one. This will be a 13- to 15-member, hands-on Board, shaping the procedures and policies that will lead to the opening of Chicago Market. 

Some of the Owners on Chicago Market's current Steering Committee will be running for the Board on a slate, to continue the institutional knowledge and ensure the continuity of leadership necessary to get the co-op running.

And here's our Board application - deadline to apply is November 16. Election results will be announced in December.

All Owners are welcome to attend a Board candidate informational session, scheduled for Sunday, November 9, 1:30 pm at Sulzer Library, 4455 North Lincoln Avenue. You can RSVP here.
