We're reaching the point in our development where there are a LOT of moving parts to keep track of, so we have an exciting volunteer to introduce who is helping our GM manage it all.
Karen Naranjo, Owner #1937, is a trained project manager. She is a Certified Scrum Master and an Agile Certified Professional with the Project Management Institute. We've partnered her with Dan, our General Manager, to create a full project plan that lists both top-level steps as well as all the nitty-gritty tasks that have to be accomplished. This all gets displayed in a calendar view too so that dependencies — tasks that have to come before others — are finalized on time.
This is planning and organizational work that keeps our GM, Board, and all teams laser-focused on the critical path toward our open store.
Completing our fundraising is the primary thing in front of the Co-op right now, so one of the first large sub-projects she's building out with us is a pretty exciting grant proposal. Watch for your next Update in a few days and we'll tell you all about it.
