Gerber, the Beaux-Arts style building was constructed of brick and tile with white terra cotta facing. It included Gerber trademarks — laurel-framed cartouches, globed lights, and a majestic scale.

Chicago Market is thrilled to steward this historic building and proud to have the full support of the Illinois State Historic Preservation Office.
