Matt Rosfelder Can't Wait to Start Cooking with Food from the Co-op!

What makes Matt Rosfelder so happy and energized?

Tell us your full name – as well as who else shares your fridge (i.e., is a part of your household?.

My name is Matt Rosfelder. I fly solo as a Chicago Market Owner, but of course my girlfriend, my roommate, and any visitors will get to enjoy what I make from my future Chicago Market purchases!

What motivated you to become an Owner of Chicago Market?

I want to support our local community and the Earth at the same time. I think that we should be buying local when it makes sense, buy products grown in a sustainable way whenever possible and share our knowledge and resources as we are able. Becoming an Owner of Chicago Market will help accomplish all of those things.

What type of work do you do?

I work as a Business Analyst on technology projects with companies around Chicago.

What else is really important to you…and why?

Cooking. I love it as a way to connect with other people, be creative and satisfy both a need for sustenance and a desire for deliciousness.

Is there something new you’d like to learn or pursue…either now or someday?

I’d like to create a dog-treat business and possibly sell my product at Chicago Market.

Do you have a favorite food or “signature dish”?

I love making Bolognese sauce and pasta topped with fresh grated Parmesan and basil from the garden. (Editor's note: YUM!)

What’s your ‘one wish come true” for Chicago Market? It might be a product for our shelves, a program you’d like to see us offer, a location – you name it!

My one wish is that Chicago Market is able to thrive and draw customers in from all around Chicago.

What three words best describe you?

Kind. Interested. Weird.
