North Park Elementary will show Food Patriots on September 23rd at 6:30 pm. Food Patriots is a new documentary by Chicago filmmakers Jeff and Jennifer Amdur Spitz.  

Touched by their teenage son's battle with a foodborne superbug, filmmakers Jeff & Jennifer Spitz document their family's struggle to raise backyard chickens, grow food, and transform into Food Patriots. 

Chicago Market's Greg Berlowitz will be the keynote speaker and will lead a discussion on food afterward. This is a family event, but please note that the movie is geared toward children in 3rd grade and older.  Child care will be provided.
