Join us for a fun and family-friendly online workshop all about decorating holiday cookies! Bridget Williams will guide us through the basic techniques of mixing icing, piping, and other fun accent ideas to help you and your little ones make your creations shine.
To follow along live, before the event you'll want to buy or bake sugar cookies in round or star-shaped sizes (or both!). Bridget has also provided a list of additional ingredients and kitchen items to have on hand, which you can download here.
Just want to watch and make cookies later? That's cool too! We're "cooking up" a cookie contest of sorts where you'll be able to post photos of your family's creations made during or after the event, with various categories such as "Best in Dough" and "Best Use of Local Ingredients..." Stay tuned for more contest details!
This online session is free to attend, but your $10 suggested donation helps support Chicago Market and the time and efforts of our presenter. After you click "Send RSVP" below, an optional donation page will appear right below the confirmation text if you'd like to support us!
RSVP below and let's get decorating!
Our presenter, Bridget Williams, is a proud Midwesterner, baker, visual artist, nature enthusiast, theatrical designer and technician, hobby carpenter, and martial artist. Wow! Up until COVID-19 hit, she was working as an Assistant Lighting Designer for the Lyric Opera of Chicago. Currently back in her previous home in Central Wisconsin, Bridget is able to more enthusiastically pursue a few of her many hobbies, particularly baking holiday cookies and sharing the spoils with eager family and friends. Bridget loves making pretty things, and hopes we all enjoy these decorating techniques as much as she does! Find her on Facebook: @BridgetsNorthwoodsBakery.
