Here's a quick update on what our Chicago Market teams have been doing this past week:
Chicago Market hosted an outstanding spring pop-up market that netted several new Owners and brought in hundreds of shoppers.
Events started planning our second-annual Owners meeting, to be held at the end of the summer.
Volunteer Lizzy led a successful volunteer training session.
Board members had a conference call about recruiting and hiring our general manager.
Marketing and content worked to promote the pop-up market on social media and via the press and our email list.
Events continues work planning the next pop-up market, later this month.
Funding is working on a federal grant from the USDA -- the Local Food Promotion Program grant.
Site selection met with an alderman and a neighborhood organization.
Board Member Lance networked at the National Cooperative Business Association annual conference and also at the National Cooperative Bank's annual meeting.
Content is working on the next Chicago Market newsletter.
